pitch rod bushings...where to find

Featured Replies

got my Brat inspected and legal...so now to start fixing all the "other" issues...

the pitch rod has no bushings...I can't seem to find them at autozone or even ebay (they usually have everything)...

Is there a quick easy substitute somewhere? Maybe something you can scrounge at Home Depot or something? It seems any kinda round bushing could be made to work...

hmmm, the dealer here couldn't even pull up anything older than a Loyale...

Brats, GLs, DLs, etc are not even in their database...

could this also be called the "engine stabilizer bushing" or "torque strut bushing"? I found a part # "A6726" but is kinda looks like a control arm bushing.

Good chance it is called the "engine stabilizer bushing"

The Subaru dealer i get parts from has it as well and has no problem finding parts for my 88 GL.

OP - you should contact another dealer, surely there is one around that can get you parts for your Brat

not within 150 miles...for some reason the local dealer can't pull up anything older than a Loyale in their database. For Brats and older GL & DL cars I gotta bring them a part number.

read that wrong thought you were talking about strut rod on control arm The pich stopper can just use any neoprene flat bushing

The local deal ran my VIN and it comes up "invalid"...seems their database was purged of anything 80's or earlier...

anyway, went to Lowes... all fixed for about $5
