Well I tried a search on this and didnt get finite enough answers.

I am considering buying an 87 4wd Wagon. Turbo. What should I ask about? What should I look for?

Things I can think of.

Oil in the radiator, water in the oil, major corrosion (white stuff) at the connection of turbo and exhaust manifold?, oil leaks, (supposedly the powersteering is leaking fluid but he thinks its the cap?), cv joints, straight body, straight frame, good interior, (it has a sunroof) leaky sunroof, working dash components, rust free,

What else?

Thanks folks I know your ideas will be great!

The condition of all the hoses, escpecially the water lines and specifically the ones that cool the turbo. You may want to ask when the timing belte were changed last, but you may change them again just for peace of mind. You might see about a CarFax also.

Did you ever get my email about the John Muir book?
