I notice my GL's power steering pump seal kits are same part as 90's legacy? Because of gl don't have sell for seal kits.

So. Should I order legacy's power steering pump seal kits? It's same size of seal and gasket?

I'm looking at the same issue. What did you find out?  Rock Auto has a kit for the 85 - 89 XT PS pump, but nothing for the GL. I'm trying to find out if this will work on my leaky PS pump.

I can't say 100% for sure, but they look identical.

Roach Auto's database it very inaccurate.  They will sell you a wrong stuff and you will pay return shipment.

 

It is possible to rebuild steering pump.  The only problem is the copper gasket.  I bought a set of gasket material from Kragen and cut a gasket myself.  Three thousand miles and still no leaks.

XT and GL pump kits should be the same......reseviors are different but the pumps are same.

 

Also....90,91 Legacy uses the same pump too...but it's holes are larger for mounting but otherwise indentical guts.
