April 15, 201411 yr hello guys I am trying to lower my 05 Forester X I am currently on a budget and cannot afford 1000 dollars coil overs , I was currently looking into buying Tein springs which are not expensive any suggestion on springs or coil overs that are good an wont brake the bank
April 15, 201411 yr Just use complete strut assemblies from an 02-07 impreza or wrx. They bolt right in and lower a forester. It's a great set up. And a lot cheaper than coil overs.

April 15, 201411 yr You'd have to get Impreza struts to match those^springs. You don't want to put Impreza springs on Forester struts or it'll wear the struts out much quicker.

April 16, 201411 yr check RockAuto. I THINK there may be some spring+strut assemblies there, or maybe Amazon? usually, folks are just buying struts. Check prices on KYB struts. April 16, 201411 yr Look on nasioc or a local subaru forum. People sell sets of strut assemblies all the time. Usually 300 or less for a set of 4 ready to bolt in.
