Yeah ? I recall a few have cut these EA82T cat converters up to tinker. I have had some that have had stuff fall out from between the heat shields and the cat itself and it floated like a weed flower or even dust in a light breeze. Some has been whitish in colour, another pinkish.

 

 Tell me this is not the deadly asbestos !! If its not, what is it ? Was nicely encased when it was made in 1985, but as things crack up and rust out it opens the insulation section up to the outside world where it will be a danger to someone if it is asbestos

im not very sure on the asbestos part.. but when I pulled my heat shielding off my EA82T exhaust there was what looked like fiberglass insulation. and some of it was burnt up and was white powder that jus floated around when it came out

 

I hope its not asbestos in the cat shielding, im just about to do that to mine
