Tires

Featured Replies

So what kind of tires can I mount my 14" pug alloys on that are bigger then stock? Going to get a 2" lift so I wanna know what kinds of tires are out there as in mud or all terrain. Thanks.

Assume this is for the "1988 Subaru GL Wagon 4WD" in your profile? How wide are the pugs? Any suspension mods other than a lift kit?

These are all things that will help the people here narrow down your choices I think. Where are you going to get the lift from? They probably have some recommendations on what to use too.

Yes the 88. And just the lift for now no other suspension mod. And the members profile name is Prwa101. He's building a lift kit for me. And the pugs are 14x6.

You can fit a 27" tire with a 2" lift without trimming the fenders. My buddy runs Genral Grabbers AT/2's and he loves them. Good in snow and offroad. But it all depends on what you can find in that 14" rim. Most tires shops with have a magazine for you to look at and show you what they can get.

Only place I looked at so far was discount tire and for a set of 5 bfgoodrich all terrains in 195/75 came out to about $825

You make sure these aren't the 390mm wheels? Because they made wheels both in metric and American. I saw a peugeot sedan off of Orient drive this weekend thinking i might score a set of 15 inch alloys because the car has sat since 96. Once i saw it had the 390's i left because im not going to pay 1500-2000 for a set of metric tires.

I am running 195/70/R14 on my 86 RX

No lift BUT the 85-86 came factory with

adjustable coilovers and I have them maxed out

They only rub win my suspension is completely articulated

The last pic is with the same tired just before I painted it

Id look elsewhere for the BFG ko if that's what you want. You should be able to get them in the low $700 range mounted for all 5.

Goodyear makes a 195/75-14 all terrain that may be a little cheaper. I think they run 25.5".
