Then its probably not the flexplate.

 

Try running a higher octane fuel in the next tank and see if the noise lessens or goes away.

Seems to be rattling consistently at the same RPMs, I'm going to give those heat shields another looking over. 

Yep, just the heatshield right under the exhaust manifold.
