they bolt up just fine - same bolt pattern.

 

the tires should clear the front strut mount - that's where the issue i think would be.

 

it may matter if it's FWD or AWD - sometimes the spring seats are different sizes/location, is yours AWD?

consider doing a strut lift on it, along with the forester wheels - I did it with my 95 and LOVE it!
