I was getting on the freeway onramp.  When the trans tried to go from 1st to 2nd, it went into neutral instead. Since that happened, ALL gears are neutral (except Park...which works as expected). Changed the front speed sensor. Nothing. No mechanical noises/grinding at all when shifting. Just acts as if all gears are neutral. Anyone have a clue?

the clue is you need a used trans.

 

check the fluid level?

if low, you can try adding some,

but i doubt it will help.

 

if full, buy a used trans.

 

do you have a ''check engine'' light?

do yo have a flashing AT Temp light at start up?

I suppose you could have had a massive fluid leak.

 

Be sure to check the fluid level while idling - some people forget that.

Two times when this happens.

1. Fluid is too low

2. Trans is toast

 

The first can also cause the second
