Cylinder head rebuild list

Featured Replies

Ive searched the forum a bit but didnt find what Im looking for so..Ill ask here. Im looking for a list of parts needed to rebuild a pair of heads, single port 97 2.2. Im getting deltas so scratch the cams out of the equation. Thanks.

If you are just replacing the cams, all you'll need are new cam seals, sealant and assembly lube

Probably valve cover gaskets and maybe new grommets for the vc bolts.

If you are dismantling the valve train then add valve lapping materials.

An accurate torque wrench as the cam bolts are very low torque.

Im replacing springs, retainers, cams, seals, valve seals. Not sure if I need new lifters.

There is no real need to replace the springs and retainers unless you have a block with more than 300k on it..

They will do whatever you need, even with a torque grind cam from Delta.
