Can I put larger or smaller tires on the front of my wife's cousin's 99 outback 2.5 automatic and remove the AWD fuse? her front tires are showing cords and I cant afford to buy a good set of 4 tires for her. thank you for your help.

you might also check ebay and craigslist for used tires that may closely match the other 2 on her car in wear.
