Would a light switch from a 91 fwd sedan work on a 97 awd 2,2 sedan.the switch in the steering colum

Generally, you can swap parts like this across the same generation vehicle. What you're trying to do stretches two.

 

That's not to say it wouldn't fit, but I wouldn't bet on it. Then again, compare the two of them closely.

 

You'd be better off trying to get one from a wrecking yard from a 96 to a 99.

My switch is bad in my 97 sedan

If they look the same it should. 

No will not work.

 

You need a matching one from a sedan. If your car is has variable intermittent wipers, you need a switch that has the variable function. Would only have that if it's an Ls or Gt. Regular base or L model will just be one speed intermittent.

SHoot thats right, unless you want to get into the nitty gritty of switches.
