No Brake lights 08 Sub OB

Featured Replies

We have an 08 OB and the other day it wouldn't come out of park. Checked the stop light fuse (blown) replaced it and the brake light switch worked for a day and boom same thing, Have checked all the bulbs and contacts not sure where to check next. any help greatly appreciated

Trailer wiring connector would be a good place to check. On previous years they would hide it in the left rear corner of the cargo/ trunk area behind the panels, or it would be hung out somewhere behind the bumper on that side.

Another thing to check is the wiring in the bulb socket. The socket got hot enough to melt the wire insulation in it and the wires (ground and hot) shorted. We disconnected one side at a time to help find the side with the trouble. The driver side had the problem.
