May 5, 201510 yr So i have an 06 outback. The other day while driving the engine light came on and the cruise started flashing. So i ran the codes and got bank one number one oxy sensor. So i replaced it. With only a lil change but not much. So my question is! Can i hollow out my cats?
May 5, 201510 yr Why do you believe your cats are the problem? And hollowing them out on a newer car isn't going to help. In newer cars the second O2 sensor is behind the cats so it reads what it expects to "AFTER" the cats do there work. If it can't read the correct information it's not going to clear up your problem.
May 5, 201510 yr Hollow out the cats and you'll just get more check engine light. What was the code you got?
May 5, 201510 yr Getting pretty basic here. Did you clear the codes or just replace the 02 sensor? OEM part or aftermarket? any recent work etc./check for vac leaks? Edited May 5, 201510 yr by AdventureSubaru
