My nieces 07 impreza---symptoms--low idle and stalling often when letting off the gas pedal.

On other forums I saw that most times the symptoms are total lack of acceleration---maybe 1500 rpms max---sort of a limp mode

She does not have this issue

 

Anyone have experience with this?

FSM says this code sets when the ECU commands the electronic throttle control relay On but no voltage is detected on the relay circuit.

 

There are some fuses in the main fuse box under the hood for the ETC, check those.

Also check behind the glove box for some relays near the ECU. One of those is the ETC relay. Try swapping it with another relay nearby.

hmmm...not much help but, some folks have had a connector under the seat or footwell be problematic with drive-by-wire throttles.

Plenty of miles? Could be a dying DBW motor... Not normally an issue with Subarus, but have seen it before. Especially if its throwing a code..
