Featured Replies

2005 legacy GT.....the silver piece just below the radio (included the ash tray too)and that surrounds the stick shift.  How does this come off?  I want to replace it and the smaller piece with the hole for the shift stick.....

the silver side strips must come off first but im afraid I will break them without guidance

(anyone got a clean one?)

bgambino,

Years ago I had an 04 OBW and later an 07 OBW and had downloaded the factory service manuals for both, but have since deleted them. If you search hard enough you will find them online for free.

If that doesn't work for you, get to a car audio store that installs systems themselves. They will have manuals to show how the needed panels come off for every make of car. Pay them to photo copy what you need, or they may just show you.

As for replacement panels, check with the auto wreckers in your area.

The eurodash is somewhat different but I once removed the radio/hvac system for that:

Removed the two side trims left and right of the radio/hvac (clicked in plastic clamps)

remove the gear selector pattern plate (clicked in plastic clamps)

I think it is screwed in there the lower gray plate/trim
