05 Outback squeeks at rear.

Featured Replies

I know normally i can do this myself, but my Dr said no.

I have a low speed squeek at the rear suspension (not a strut or strut mount). End links and rear sway bar busings done. That leaves the Lateral link bushings. I am trying to budget time and money. Are these bushings easy for a shop to do or should I find new arms and pay upfront to save in labor later. 20010 miles.

Thanks.

PS I just bought new Justy brake parts so I guess i'm keeping him.

Hey Nipper,

How old/new are the struts?

How did you eliminate them from the differential diagnosis?

The struts are only 3 years old, maybe less. Its one of the multilink busings. They have been squeeking for a while but now they are loud. Rear end links were replaced last year.

Is the rear crossmember rusty?

Is this the next evolution of the owl?

That reminds me, my owl died. I used to have an owl I coudlnt find.

I cant do it myself due to my present health situation. I have a friend with the same car and same squeek, but not as many miles.
