Ok, could not find this searching, although I found useful info If I cant find what I am looking for.

 

Ok, the FRONT speaker connectors I have found. They are pink, and have blue and white wires. That is not the problem tho. As you will see from the pics below, you might understand what I am doing.

 

I have taken my Cambridge Sound works 4.1 Computer Surround Sound system, an installing it into my GL-10. Since I cant make good use of it (aka, stretch its legs) in my new home, what good is it having it only being at 10% use in my room? So, I have replaced that with a lower power but equally good quality 2.1 system. So...the GL-10 effectively has NO sound at all...stock radio barely works, and the stock speakers are rotted out.

 

Anyhow, I have been able to wire in the front speaker output, into the front speaker wiring. I have installed the cambridge front speakers into the stock front speaker location. Next, I will install the rear cambridges into the stock rear speaker location. Its easy to do.

 

The only thing I need to know...is where are the REAR speaker connectors like the front ones??????

So, as you can see, those are to plugs I am looking for....the ones pictured are for the front, i need to find the ones for the rear. Any ideas???

Rear speakers put up a bit of a fight in the EA82. You see, the EA82 is common ground front to rear, so the - wire goes to both speakers on each side. Pretty ghetto. The only solution, really, is to find where the ground wire splits in two to go to each speaker, and run new wires from the HU to the split.

 

If I remember right, the connector is somewhere along the door sill on each side... maybe in the kick panel? It's been a while since I've done rears in an EA82.

 

My solution is to just not run any rear speakers. Or, if ya gotta, run new wires from the deck back.

So you say the connectors are somewhere in the door sill....kick pannel? Hm...on the rear door sill, or the front?

On my wagon I found the connections for the rear speakers just in front of the door pillar down by the rear of the seat rails. Hope that helps narrow it down some for you.

'Cause it screws up your soundstage, that's why .

 

Anyway, Flow's got your answer, right at the bottom of the B-pillar. You'll have to run a twinlead from the deck to that connector if you're running an aftermarket HU.

 

Wait... now that I look at it... are you running high-level speaker outs into an RCA connection? Hope you've got a high-low converter on there.

Ok, ran another search, i decided I would go behind the stereo, and use that connector to run the sound. Sounds nice now.

 

Edit: Hi low converter? Huh? I am not running thru any HU at all. Pics to come later.

the cambridge soundworks stuff just uses rca connections not rca wire. Its standard speaker wire after the connection. I was thinking of doing the same with my cambridge computer system, but I use the 4 point surround more in Battlefield 1942, DC, and Vietnam. It makes a huge difference in gameplay to know where the shots are coming from by ear! I did a test on my self, switching the speaker connections, and I couldnt play for crap cause I'd spin to the wrong location expecting an enemy.

If they're high-level connections at the speaker like Bushbasher said, then you don't need a high-low. RCA connections usually means low level, so I just assumed.

 

If you're not using a headunit, what's producing the sound? I'm seriously confused about your setup.

CD player, portable type that plays MP3 CDs running off of power converter on AC adapter....output to input on sub/base. Output from there to 4 speakers and the internal sub. All of that equals 100X better sound than stock system, and some bump as well.
