I did this aa a test to see what it would look like. My trim is dry rotted and just flaking off. What you guys think??? One I pulled most of the dry rubber off and the other I just left as is. I think, that I need to make some kind of trowel to spread it, so it does not get clumpy.

I think with some painter's tape and newspaper, you could probably just spray this on smooth and let sit to cure.  I've actually thought about doing it myself!

I would've used Plasti_Dip in the rattle can. Comes out smooth and a closer match.
