96' Subaru Legacy Outback Airbags Deployed

Featured Replies

Hi, I just joined! I have a few questions about my subaru because I'm stumped and can't find a whole lot of information about it.

I have a 96' Subaru Outback and both airbags have been deployed. I have sourced down the steering wheel and passenger airbags for a really good deal. What I'm wondering is there anything else that needs to be replaced? A control module or impact sensor? Thanks!

HI,

Yes, from what I've read you'll need the airbag controller (@ least), too....but keep Searching on here/online, as it's been covered.

GL,

Td

Could you give me a link? I've tried searching but can't find it. User error most likely haha!

As this is a project car, still have yet to get any parts for it. I did some diagnosing (test connector under dash you need to ground out to get airbag codes)

I got 2 codes.. kinda funny you'd think you would get codes for the entire system? I will be buying both airbags, control module, clockspring, and both impact sensors to be safe..
