June 4, 200421 yr someone in the family overfilled the Loyale, 1.8L engine, seems about 1 qt too much. Should I drain it? It ticks at low speeds. No problems thus far.
June 4, 200421 yr Yes - too high and the crank will beat it into a foam. Foam does not lubricate.... GD
June 4, 200421 yr Ditto, get the extra Qt out, it will also cause drag and reduce horse power, but that is the least of your worries. if its ticking and it didn't used to, its because of foam getting to the lifters, not too much of a good thing.
