Need help finding an elusive ignition part '89 GL

Featured Replies

Found that my ignition amplifier is weak/dead, car will not spark, I've only found 1 source in the whole country and they want 360$$ for it. No old subaru's in any of the junkyards around here either. Hoping someone has a parts car that has one and would be willing to sell me, Its the little module directly under the ignition coil bolted to the bracket. Thanks in advance -Woody

That module uses the coil bracket for its ground. Won't work if not grounded. Make sure the bracket has a ground before replacing that part which is actually part of the coil bracket. Finding a used one should be ultra easy as that part just never fails.

Also check for a broken timing belt.

Thanks for replying. grounds good, it's at the shop right now, mechanic traced the issue to the ignition amplifier, looked everywhere, the part doesn't really exist on the internet.
