October 19, 20169 yr Got a new wiring harness for my loyale and found two plugs that aren't on there. One goes to a silver box and the other to a relay attached to the box. They are located near the diagnostics plugs on the driver side of the engine bay in a 93 loyale. Anyone know what these are? Can post a pic but hopefully someone will know before I get around to that.
October 20, 20169 yr Author Seems like the box is a resistor but not sure what for.... Hoping its for something I don't need but it doesn't seem like it will be...
October 22, 20169 yr Old-school would have been a ballast resistor, but I'm guessing these were phased out on Subaru's at least 10 years earlier...hopefully someone can chime in...
October 26, 20169 yr Author Anyone know?Got a new clutch coming soon don't want to put it all in to have to take it all out! Edited October 26, 20169 yr by jread
October 26, 20169 yr I don't recognize the silver box. I've completely disassembled a few ea82 wagons, and I've never seen that. The only relay I've seen on the drivers side near the brake booster is the ones I have installed to fix the click no crank due to high resistance in the starter trigger circuit.
October 27, 20169 yr Author This one is right infront of the wiper motor on the back side of the strut tower. Maybe its not even useful! Seems like the engine will start without it then!
