Cleaning up the heads on ej25.  I know I need to keep track of which valve goes where. Are the retainer and springs ineterchangable, or do they need to stay with valve they were originally on?

They are interchangeable.

If you are doing a valve grind, it won't hurt to keep the valves in order but not necessary.

It's easier to Keep all the springs and retainers with the valves they were on. Use some small plastic cups or old egg cartons to put parts in so you know where each one goes. Makes reassembly much easier and allows you to easily keep track of all the parts.
