January 1, 20179 yr Hi, My Sportswagon (might be called something different in US*) is intermittently down (a lot) on acceleration. I suspect it may be a lack of fuel??? So, possibly I need to locate the fuel filter and fuel pump. Can any advise on their location? *1800cc single cam per bank, single range manual transmission, with all wheel drive Impreza wagon... Here in Australia it's badged "Sportswagon".
January 1, 20179 yr Fuel filter is located on drivers side just in front of the strut.3 rubber lines . Mark lines as you remove them for proper replacement. Fuel pump is in the fuel tank.
January 1, 20179 yr Access the fuel pump thru a covered hole atop the tank from inside the vehicle. Fold rear seat down , lift the carpet and on the passenger side you'll see the hole with some Phillip head screws holding it down. AWD vehicles pump from both sides of a "saddle" type tank. Look for the extra lines going from the pump I mentioned over to the driver side.
