2005 Outback after sitting idle for about 2 weeks now will start but not accelerate.  Check engine light and cruise control light are on.  Drive by wire problem?  Suggestions?

The car is trying to tell you what's wrong, read the code that's setting the check engine light. Anything else is random stabbing in the dark.

Unplug ,clean and reconnect  elec. harness at throttle pedal . If your lucky that will work. I just had to replace the throttle assembly on an 06 obw . Seems the 05-06 years had connection issues , either at the pedal or out at the throttle body.  If the computer loses signal from either end it reverts to idle.
