Rx 3rd Tail light Question

Featured Replies

Hey guys. So I my third tail light in my Rx isn't working. I took it out and the bulb is good but I am not getting power to it when I hit the brake pedal. So I obviously have a break in the wiring in my rear hatch. So, my question is, has anyone ever taken apart the hatch shock absorber and ran a new wire through it???

I am thinking of running a new wire.

Easier to take the plastic off and search out your break. Start with the rubber boot that ducts the harness into the hatch from the body. Pull gently on the harness and the connector is right there.

If that isn't the answer then consider taking down the plastic covers and checking there - on the hatch end of things - if no luck then the rear of the ceiling liner.

I have all the plastics down. The only wires on the 3 door coupes that goes to the actual hatch goes through the shock absorbers for the hatch. No other wires. That is why I was wondering if anyone has dug into those before.
