Loyale windows get caught on rain gutter and don't seal

Featured Replies

So I have an interesting issue. My drivers side doors (both front and rear) get caught on the rain gutter a bit when they're closed and don't seal. I can apply a little pressure and they "pop" into place properly (or if I lower the window and roll it back up). Seems to happen when it's cold more than warm.

Is there a way to adjust how far up the windows go when they're all the way up? It seems like if I could just adjust the upper limit of the window (like a 1/8") it would fix the issue.

Yes, there are all sorts of adjustments for the windows.  A factory service manual would be helpful.  You'll have to remove the trim panel, etc. to get at the adjustments.

i've had luck pulling both drivers and passengers side panels and using the "good side" as a guide for adjusting and installing power windows.

The glass curvature changes between the GL and the Loyale.  They are both marked with the same number however.  The outside roller may be putting too much pressure on the glass, when it hangs up on the inside top seal. However, the outside roller are fixed and only the inside rollers are adjustable.

On my Loyale, I had to remove the door card and adjust the window hight by moving the supporting pieces of plastic. That only required a phillips head screw driver. I had the exact same issue as you, but the PO did it in an attempt to fix it from falling off. Thankfully he didnt futz with the drivetrain too much other than installing the battery backwards :P
