I have used the key fob to lock/unlock multiple times.  The security light (top center of dash) blinks about 1=once/sec at all times when car is not running, stops when I crank and drive.  Any help is much appreciated, as I am 1st time subaru owner, bought car to replace 4wd tk difficult for my h'cap wife to get in/out.  She loves car, but damn light drivin me nuts

I'm pretty sure they do blink whenever the key isnt in the accessory position or on. It doesn't kill the battery if that's what you're worried about.

you might check the manual about Valet mode - but I think that's a different blink pattern ???
