Featured Replies

Subaru Forester 2017. What was the trick to disable 4WD ? If I remember there is some fuse or jumper in a fuse box or something like that. any ideas ?

Hi,

This is a CVT transmission, and I don't think it's still an option.

I looked thru the OM and it's not listing the old FWD fuse trick.

It was on the pass. side strut tower in the '90's and moved to the fuse block by the battery later.

Why?

GL,

It's not available on all Subaru transmissions.

If it's for gas mileage - that doesn't work or do anything except make spinning the tires and uneven tire wear easier.

If it's for some other reason, be careful as doing it would nearly certainly void future CVT warranty claims.
