3rd Gen Facelift Digital Dash (Green) MPH to KPH

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,

Thanks to this forum. I got some help looking at changing my 3rd Gen Leone Digital Dash from MPH to KPH.

I'm in New Zealand, so having this option would be nice.

The old Orange dash's had a button to switch it. However on the green style ones, there is a jumper with a red wire. Lucky it's not too hard to get at.

Connection status:

Connected = MPH

Disconnected = KPH

I removed all of the screws around the cluster face plate. Then popped off the front cover.

Next step was to remove all the plastic clear filters to get at the inside of the unit.

Once inside, you can see the red jumper wire at the bottom.

Hopefully that helps someone out. I wasn't sure if it was possible to do this. But know you know!

Cheers

Yeah very nice work there. Hope you saved the old digidash threads for future reference.

My Photosuckit acct with some of the digidash pics could be closing.

Just want to put a warning out there when messing with things that use a vacuum fluorescent display (VFD), such as those used in this dashboard. They work similarly to a fluorescent tube and have a ballast that produces, often in excess of, 100 volts. It's probably not gonna kill you if you touch the wrong stuff in there, but it'll give you a nasty surprise.

Do you happen to have some more info on these? I will be needing to sort the fuel sender unit out.

Yes, Good point. Those things are quite old how they supply light and the screens etc

Cheers!
