1979 Subaru Wagon 1.6L carb gasket help

Featured Replies

Hello..  I have a 1979 Wagon with a 1.6  E81 stamped engine.  I have identified the carb as a Hitachi dcj-306-8 .  Im struggling to find a carb to manifold mounting gasket.

Aftermarket listings show a Mahle part number of a G30800.  I have ordered this but is too large.  I can not seem to find a part number for the gasket that will work.

anyone have any ideas on a part number?

Please help!

Attached photo-  left is the new gasket which is too big,  middle is whats left of the original and the right is an imprint of the carb base

Pretty sure I have an entire kit. Might have those gaskets seperate somewhere too.

Will check tomorrow morning. I'm sure I have a Bosch rebuild kit new unopened.

I know I can find this gasket in a kit but curious if anyone knows a part number for this base gasket as just the single gasket?

All the FPM's out there and nobody has replied yet.

Maybe some are archived here ?

It might be easiest to just buy the make your own sheet and cut out what you need. instead of scouring the eternal planes of the world for some old gasket material

Thanks Naru,   That gasket part number worked great!!    my local parts stores listed that Mahle part number as the only option, napa and oreillys which was wrong.
