January 6, 20188 yr Reinstalling 2005 Impreza engine. Didn't do the engine removal. The top fuel line disconnect not clicking back in to the fuel line..The fuel line disconnect below the upper fuel line is clicking back in. Is the plastic piece in the disconnect a replaceable piece or could the disconnect be replaced with a gas hose clamp.? Also the ac line seems to run directly above the oil filler cap which makes it difficult to remove the oil fill cap. Since I didn't do the the engine removal not sure where the ac line is supposed to be relative to the oil fill spout and cap. Edited January 6, 20188 yr by steve56
January 6, 20188 yr Fuel lines I just hack off those stupid disconnect fittings and install a clamp like old school Subarus that have zero failure rates and more practical. AC line maybe look up pictures online.

The ac metal line must have gotten bent down from the ac pump being disconnected.Is it safe to bend it back without causing a freon leak in metal hose?
January 7, 20188 yr Yep just bend it back. I can’t see it but I’d pay attention to the fitting area where it attaches and make sure that’s not getting leveraged too much while you’re bending. I doubt that matters, but I can’t see it.

Don't hold it by the part where rubber crimps into the metal it would cause leaks, ask me how I know
January 8, 20188 yr You can bend it holding the metal line only. Don't hold it by the part where rubber crimps into the metal it would cause leaks, ask me how I know great call on the crimp - that is the most common failure, and the oring, but that’s an easy and nearly free fix.
