Hi - am looking to do a 4” lift on my 1986 Brat and wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions on where I could get the required steering shaft entension work done (I’m in Colorado).

 

I would also love to hear from anyone who has any insights to share on this project (good/bad).

Draw a line on the shaft where you want the extra length welded in.  Find the nearest exhaust shop, take the part there.  Tell them to cut the shaft on your line and weld it back together with an extra 4 inches welded in the middle.
