April 27, 20187 yr I have an 85 Brat that's a 3AT that I've almost finished putting back together after head gasket replacement. I got a new radiator off of Rock Auto. My question is is there a difference between the radiator in Auto and manual or are they the same. It looks like my OEM one except the radiator cap hole is bigger and the inside of the reservoir looks different. I'm making sure it still works as the auto trans cooler. I have pics if needed. April 27, 20187 yr Hi there, i have an 86 GL wagon with the 3AT and my radiator has an internal transmission cooler built in. you should make sure to get the radiator that has the tranny cooler. The connections are on the driver's side of the radiator. there is a brass screw in fitting that has a factor bend to help the hoses that come off the tranny to connect in a good direction. if u have your old radiaror still u can take that one off. That's what i did. best of luck
April 27, 20187 yr in looking at your pics it appears to be the correct one. mine has a small riller opening on it. but it looks the same as mine.

April 27, 20187 yr Author I also got a new radiator cap also from Rock Auto. It just showed up and it doesn't fit the new radiator...?
April 28, 20187 yr I found my original 84 Brumby radiator was about 40 mm longer than my 84 fwd sedans original auto. So satisfied there were some factory differences
