HI, I have a question that us locals were unsure of the answer to.

 

For an EA81 car are their any differences between front axles for the different tranny types? (I am aware of the beefier front axles for 4wd).

 

Do they all have the same spline count?

 

Are they all the same length?

All the same - no differences in spline count between any of the trans types. Even the EA81T's had 23 spline axles. Length too - no difference there either.

I went about online checking part numbers, I only found one different number, the 1982 GLW has different axles for the 2wd, but the 4wd has the same axles as every other model. I just have a GL but I wanted to make sure.
