June 14, 20187 yr Greetings, I recently bought a neighbor's 1986 GL wagon, which has been sitting idle for 10 years but runs and is in good shape. Except... Except that the mechanic making the car road-worthy for New Hampshire inspection needs an a/c belt idler pulley, part number SOA332A2033, which is missing from the vehicle. I've tried various sites on the Web, so far with no results. I'd be glad to have any suggestions. Thanks in advance, L
June 14, 20187 yr Tell your mechanic that he only needs to replace the bearing in the pulley. It is a common size that is available from most auto parts stores. He just needs to drive the bearing out of the pulley and get the number off the bearing. The very best ones are made in Japan and available online, but will take longer to get.
June 15, 20187 yr Oh... hehe... missed that, pun intended. My itchy trigger finger about idlers. Maybe we should do a sticky with a little instruction and bearing numbers listed. To the OP, go to: car-part.com
