In search of single port Y pipe

Featured Replies

Any suggestions on where I might find a single port Y pipe for my Ej22 swap?

I purchased a 98 legacy Outback limited with a seized motor for a steal and I've acquired and installed an EJ22. Almost finished except for my exhaust and figuring out some of my vacuum lune issues.

I remember reading awhile back about someone that made conversion pipes to be clamped or welded to the EJ25 pipe after chopping the flange off. Is this guy still around?

Any input at this point would be great. Thanks in advance

Thank you very much for that. Don't know how I didn't find that because I did check eBay.

Thanks again. You are awesome

I got one, it fit well.  No heat shield but it works.

Good to hear it worked out well. At this point the lack of heat shield is the least of my worries. If it becomes an issue I'll consider just wrapping the pipes

The heat shield purpose is to prevent grass & weed fires, should you ever park in high dry weedy areas.

So... I got my header today at lunch time. It bolted right up and I'm now in the process of coming up with some heat shields.

My salvage yard 2.2 is running very well and after I replace a few hoses and the radiator we will be taking our first journey together. We will then find out what if anything else needs done

Normal to have a little valve ticking as the lifters pump back up if it has the hyd lifters.  It can last a week or two.

I love the 2.2 engines so easy to work on and very few issues if taken care of.
