i have a 1992 legacy 1.8 with single point fuel injection and i have no spark after putting a new engine in

Not sure if this applies to your engine but do the original engine and replacement engine have the same trigger points on the Crankshaft and drivers side Cam Gear?

    Any chance the engine was from a Carbed car that used a Distributor?  

    If so there would be no trigger points on the Cam and Crank gears.
