I need to raise the front of the car with both wheels up at the same time.  I see there is a cross member right behind the oil pan.  Is that a safe place to put my floor jack to raise the front end?

that's where I use my typical floor jack on each of my cars.

i would say that the greater majority of us use that spot for jacking up the front end.

and the rear pumpkin for jacking up the back end
