February 23, 20206 yr GeneralDisorder made an amazing write up of the EA81 spfi swap but I have a few questions regarding it. I pulled all the parts from a 93 Loyal auto.(silver ecu). Questions 1. Will the auto ecu work in a manual brat. 2. Exactly what parts of the wireing harness can I cut out. 3. Do I replace the brats ecu or am I running both. Thank you in advance.
February 23, 20206 yr 1. Yes it will. Look at the ECU pinout in the archive. Find the pin on the ECU connectors for Auto/Manual trans and connect it accordingly. 2. Anything not related to the EFI system. Using a wiring diagram identify and label all of the engine related connectors and wires. Pay close attention to power and grounds too. Carefully follow the other wires and prune them out. Lights, Heater, Wipers etc. 3. Your Brat ECU won't do anything anymore. You can leave it in and pull the fuse or just pull it out all together. I have done a few of these and it works out great.

I'm not seeing the pin out for auto/manual .
