Ej22 harness question for brat swap.

Featured Replies

I have my harness mostly stripped. But there is a wire that goes seemingly no where but is great shielded. Any idea what it is it runs from the smj to the harness that is attached to the engine.

Smj pins: L6, L5, L4

You need to reference the pins from the ECU side of things. Those are the pins I only refer to.

Some wire tracing may be needed.

And that junction can be cut out, it’s not needed (unless the USDM loom is vastly different to our AUDM looms).

There is no connection between this shielded wire and the ecu. Even though the wire has a connector that connects to the harness running under the intake manifold

What colour and trace colour are those wires? They could be temp gauge or oil warning lights.

Dunno why it would be shielded though.
