Does anyone know if its safe to flat tow a manual outback or would it destroy the transmission like the automatics do?

OK.  Can always drop the 4 bolts out of the rear diff to driveshaft connection.

I flat towed a 97 legacy wagon, manual trans, from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma without any challenges
