Does anyone know what the last year was for a Part-time AWD Loyale or GL Wagon? My 86 probably has another year in it, despite a near perfect motor. The body/Sub-frame is going south. I'd like another but I want FWD under normal conditions. Unless of course the difference in mileage is negligable which would be almost impossible. Now I don't near pretty good as in 75% but like in the 90 percentile. I love the ground clearence my little wagon has over the Legacy.

Well there really wasn't an exact time that the part time was discontinued, but the last year that they were the only 4WD tranny available was 86, in 87 1/2 the Fulltime 4WD trannies started showing up, first in the RXs and as optional trannies for GLs. If it has a carburated engine and 4WD, chances are that it will be a part time 4WD tranny.
