The purge control valves used to cause trouble from what a mate told me years ago. He suggested it’s a good idea to relocated this valve to make replacing it easier - removing it from all the heat it cops (it’s usually under the intake manifold on the vehicle’s RHS from memory) would probably help with the longevity of the purge control valve too.
