Clutch Fork Cracked

I noticed today that my clutch fork is cracked and looks like it will fail soon. It's on a 98 Legacy Brighton wagon. Has anyone ever tried to weld one of these? I can't tell if it is cast or not. I would prefer not to have to pull the motor or trans if possible. Anybody got an easy fix?

It's pretty common. No short cut - pull it out and fix it! Good time for a clutch too.

    +1 on the pull.

    Good time to reseal or replace the rear breather plate on the engine as well.  T Belt, Valve cover gaskets and anything else that's due.
