Help with Fusible links

Featured Replies

Hi everyone! Maybe someone can tell me what each of the fusible links are for in my 87 GL-10? I have looked at several diagrams in my manuals, and none show them.I am getting smoking from the black (says 1.25) link when the engine is running. Not when the key is on, just when running...Can't figure this one out. Thanks.

After breaking down at the south end Shucks auto store...i called brian from brian's subaru shop.......seems my electric went totaly dead i mean dead...

i noticed that the fusible link box(attached to my coolent holder) was smoking

there are 3 links.....green/blue and BLACK .the black one takes the power from the battery....it was FRIED.......i changed it and everything is ok ,now you can't buy em at your local auto parts store....try a soob dealer or a junk yrd that has some older soobs in it......

have fun

Sparker

junk yard .....

the jy is the best place to collect oem fuses and fusible links, and they may be considered "pocket parts"

I think the black one ties between the alternator and the battery if I remember correctly. I will be home in a few days and check my manual on this.
