Does anyone know what years had the Rear Adjustable seat? By adjustable it doesn't just go flat. It has about 3 positions from full straight up for more cargo to reclining. I know the 2000's do, and the 2005 don't. But not sure what year that started and what year it stopped.

My '98 has it, and that was the first model year for the US.

If I understand your question, I have a 2001 L and the seats fold flat or are up! No adjustment that I know of???

I have a MY99 S - the rear seats recline back almost all the way. I always took it for granted that all Forester MYs did this.
