first Q: i have my hill holder all setup but its not engaging, does it need more adjusment or is the system bad. theres no play in the cable

second Q: i read somewhere that every 60k miles your egr light comes on and that there are two wires under the dash to reset that light, where are those witres and if im wrong then how do you reset it???

thanks ahead of time...

First answer - Yes, you need to adjust the cable some more. But not to much, its supposed to be so that at a certain incline the HH will work. So you need to adjust a little than test it.

Second answer - Uh no. As far as I know nothing earlier than 90 that has this type of reset. You need to connect the green plug with one wire under the dash, to get the service codes from the ECU. Altho sometimes the color of the connector can be black.

Q#2: Actually, these are set up with mileage counters that are electronically controlled. Under the dash you'll find two blue connectors and a black connector. Which ever set is hooked up, unhook it and reconnect it to the other connector.

Ok, I guess I need to edit my second answer :o I have had a couple folks tell me about this, so its obviously there. Altho I sure have never seen it in the FSM, I guess I need to get better glasses

This may be a feature that only comes on in the first 60K. On all my Soobs, I have never had the light come on for that reason.
