August 11, 200421 yr I am looking at the possibility of using an EA71 as an engine for my ultralight. Can anyone tell me where the thrust bearing is located on the crank and whether it takes thrust in both directions or just one. If one, which way. To mount a prop adapter, I need to know which direction the engine crank can accept thrust. I can make an adapter for either end. Thanks for any help anyone can give. John
August 11, 200421 yr If I remember right the thrust bearing is intergrated into the center main bearing and can accept thrust in both directions

August 11, 200421 yr looking at my FSM it shows the thrust bearing is integrated into the center main bearing. This is exactly what is out on one of my EA71s....
August 11, 200421 yr Also a known occasional problem with the EA82T....just repeating what my local senior master tech said to me about this.
